Renewable generation introduces its own electrical challenges, but the requirement remains the same: equipment and protection systems must perform reliably when the facility is energized and connected to the grid. IXR supports solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects with specialized electrical testing, commissioning support, and ongoing maintenance services.
From Generation to Existing Facilities
Renewable energy facilities bring together generation equipment, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, collection systems, substations, and utility interfaces. Successful energization depends on these systems being tested individually and verified as an integrated electrical system.
IXR works alongside owners, EPC contractors, engineering teams, and utilities to support testing and energization requirements from individual equipment through the point of interconnection.
Renewable Power System Testing
Testing programs are developed around the project design, equipment, utility requirements, and applicable standards.

Supporting Solar and Wind Projects
Utility-scale solar and wind facilities can involve large numbers of distributed electrical assets connected through extensive collection systems. Consistency in testing, documentation, and deficiency management becomes increasingly important as projects move toward energization.
Experienced field personnel help identify problems before they become energization issues and work directly with project teams to troubleshoot deficiencies, complete retesting, and maintain progress toward turnover.
The testing approach is determined by the cable system, operating conditions, and the nature of the suspected fault.
Beyond Initial Energization
Electrical requirements continue after a renewable facility enters commercial operation. Preventative and predictive maintenance, protection system testing, equipment diagnostics, and troubleshooting all contribute to long-term availability.
Test history also provides valuable baseline information for understanding equipment condition and identifying changes as the facility ages.
